We all have that one friend. She actually books the reservation when she says she will (thank goodness!). She gets things done in the group chat and in real life. If the waiter is taking too long or the food is off, she isn’t afraid to speak up. She’s probably in a boardroom somewhere or running her own business, or both. You never have to guess how she’s feeling, because she can tell you in a clear and concise way and she loves deeply and loyally. The older I get, the more I want to be like her. She may come off a little prickly to a stranger, but to know her is to love her. P.S. She’ll have a martini. Extra dirty. Three olives. Please.
